About

I love to cook and am always looking for ways to improve good recipes in some way, whether it’s making them faster, easier, healthier, or more beautiful.  In this blog I hope to share the results of my kitchen experiments (the ones that turn out well, and probably some devastating failures).  Another goal here is to put together recipes that complement each other to make a great meal, and to adapt recipes to work with the ingredients on hand.  I also hope to share some all-around favorite family recipes, great food from my home state of New Mexico, and tried-and-true recipes for quick week-night meals and entertaining.  Food presentation can also be lots of fun and I must disclose that I LOVE garnish.  So, here goes… Thanks for visiting!

add one can Rotel mild chili and tomatoes

actually, I am just guessing at the ingredients, it is something we just make, I will make this, and send in corrections
This is best served with french fries, as is any other dish

The reason it is called “Chile a la John” is because we recieved this recipe at a cooking shower before we got married. It was held at the roping arena at Lee Moor Farm in Clint Texas. My brother John had always enjoyed this recipe, and wanted us to have it, but he hadn’t cooked much, so the instructions were so funny, we laughed until we cried.

  6. My name is Al Malekovic (al@countrybobs.com) and I represent a very, very small company called Country Bob’s, Inc. We are making a great sauce called, “Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce” and we would like to get the word out about our product.
I know that review blogs are a great way to get information to the general public. I conducted a google search for food blogs and your name came and after looking at your blog, I was wondering if you would be interested in trying my sauce and perhaps reviewing it for me.

If you send me your name and address via e-mail, I would gladly send you a recipe brochure along with two bottles of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce in hopes that you would write a review.

If you would like more information, I would be glad to respond to any questions you might have. In fact, if you are interested in interviewing me after you’ve sampled the product, I would gladly make myself available!

Thank you for your consideration. http://www.countrybobs.com We also have two two bottle give a ways for your blog.
