Interesting Blogging Phenomenon: Alpha Inventions

So somehow Recipe Mashups got submitted to this site, alphainventions.com. I noticed it when I saw that the site had referred numerous readers to my blog. Basically, the site shows a new blog every few seconds. You can submit your blog as frequently as you want (in a non-automated way) to keep it in the reading cycle. I have gotten over 100 hits so far today just from alphainventions.com. You can also subscribe for $10/month, and they claim it will keep your blog in the reading cycle “over 100x longer.” The free version seems like a nice-enough boost to me. I do wonder if I will actually gain any long-term readers or subscribers from this site, or whether viewership will just be limited to a quick flash on the screen for many unique viewers.

Same thing happened to my blog. It was just randomly submitted. I just bumped you off of Alpha, so I thought I’d check out your blog. I love a good recipe and I will definitely be back from time to time.
Keep up the good work!
Join Martin was also randomly submitted (http://joinmartin.wordpress.com) and I only found out by checking my Stats.
